Sugar We're Going Down Swinging

As anybody who may be reading this will probably already know, the BNP had a hard time today - I guess they're even more pissed off than they normally are, since a disillusioned ex-card-carrier made the personal details of over 10,000 members (salt/scum of the earth depending on your affiliation) available on the Internet.

Cue hours of time spent perusing the list as if it were a Victorian circus freak show. And cue everyone chucking their however many coins against the wall and/or sticking their oars in.

A couple of things (oars/coins):

* I feel sorry for none of the moneyed and educated on that list, not even if bricks come through their windows. Anyone who has spent some time actually examining the doctrine of the BNP and finds it acceptable is no friend of mine (I've checked the list).

* I hope those who are not moneyed or educated and on that list have in the couple of years since it was made been exposed to external forces they may have been deprived of that convince them of the folly and/or evil of their former ways.

* I could be raped to death by an Islamo-fascist tomorrow and I would still happily come back to haunt Nick Griffin.

* There are too many people on this island but I'd happily take on a few more refugees and exchange them with war-zones for some of these folk.

* I'm agnostic, but I agree with Jesus: you can't fight fire with fire.

* I'm liberal, but I agree with Boyd Rice: some people are really, really, dangerously stupid.

* There are two goals in life:

1 - to pursue personal happiness
2 - to fight for good, against evil

and both of these are things that most people believe they are doing: people don't actually wake up in the morning and plan their day as a step-by-step plan to paint-the-town-evil. But people can be damaged and polluted and sullied by evils done to them in the past.

* The funny thing is - this list isn't that surprising on the whole: it's ex-servicemen whose hearts are rotten husks, and who paint models of cavalrymen and have avatars of Saint George and have fetishes for antique motorcycles (this is Chris 1); it's far-right Etonians who have never found themselves to be quite as important or privileged as they were taught to believe they ought to be (this is Chris 2); it's working class people with not much money or education or hope or joy, who hate the idea that they could one day have people above them who are not either Chris 1 or Chris 2; and it's the children of the above, abused or otherwise.

* There are still no excuses, though, surely?

* My contact details are available on the Internet (search 'thesvenhunter' and 'contact') so any BNP members who want to come round to tea and explain why I am wrong are welcome to do so; I know four of you are within walking distance of my not-too-shabby flat in Pimlico. I'll cook you dinner, buy you wine, (or a bottle of Bombadier - whatever), and listen to you. I promise I won't stab you, or invite any black people.
